If you are into Photography, you well must know about EXIF. In short, EXIF is a set of data embedded into the JPEG file header, to assist photographers know the Camera Settings at a later time of review. Top graphic software applications like Adobe Photoshop, ACDSee, and Irfan View can display the EXIF data with the help of a plug-in.
Here we showcase the Top Lightweight Free EXIF Utilities for the Window Platform:
- Windows Explorer EXIF Tooltip Plug-In
- Firefox EXIF Add-On and Opera Plugin
- Exifer - A full fledged Exif Viewer for the Pros.
FireFox/Opera EXIF Viewer Addon: Just the right Addon for the Photo browser, and a advanced Flickr'er, this plugin will make life easier, though it is not a tooltip type, it does its job well enough. Right click on a photo that you view on your browser, and see the image properties, the EXIF data is displayed as well. (I think a few bugs like "escape to close" can be added to avoid annoyances). Opera is smart enough to have the Exif viewer pre-built under it's Image Properties tab. So you need not download any plugin/addon for the Opera browser to add this functionality. Get it here.
Exifer: Exifer is a full fledged Exif viewer, it runs on the windows platform, and it is almost free(send a postcard to that silly guy! he'll be happy that's it). Well though it is free, it is a powerful tool. I would say it is just enough for the Pro photographer, to analyze a lot of things, like sorting with Exif data (sort by Modes, F Stops, Shutter Speed), and preview mode and list modes. Just the right tool to give you the abundant data needed to make sure you get'em all right. Follow the link below to download Exifer and have fun.
