HowTo Monitor your baby with Nokia SmartPhones like Psiloc for - N95, 6600, N73

Baby care can be a stressful job, and at times needs a hand to run the relay. What would you do if you do not have a hand at disposal? your servant, your mom, your husband - no one is around? Look for that small Nokia Smartphone! He could be your rescue for a few minutes to hours.

Leaving the baby to sleep and taking care of daily chores or taking that little necessary nap can become very tricky and stressful for the first time parent! Here is a small tip(call it big I wont mind) that will save you some misery.

When your baby is gone to sleep, you can leave your Nokia Smartphone near it and go to attend the milk or the stir fry. If the beby is awake or makes a noise, you shall receive a call on the Land line or the kitchen phone or another mobile! No I'm not joking, with Digia Sound Monitor or Psiloc Baby Care for Series 60 you can just do that!

Both the companies have made the same logic put to use, but Psiloc followed the Digia idea to put the right marketing technique. Sound Monitor could be used to monitor the baby, it was the first Symbian software of such a kind, but Symbian software giant Psiloc just applied mind(copied) and marketed the idea well enough.

You can use both, I suggest Psiloc because it is just made for this purpose though you can use it for various other purposes like eves dropping and spying etc. [Download Psiloc baby Monitor Here]

The software: It works simple, there is a microphone on the Mobile Phone, that will receive any sound. The software has a Decibel meter, which monitors the sound, and if the decibel meter hits a certain value, then the trigger is made. [logic is simple, putting it to use at right place is awesome!!]

This is what the phone has become in the recent past, powerful and yet small and intelligent than what the Computer can be! It is a race between the Computer and the SmartPhone from here on!

Step By Step Instruction:
  1. Install either of the software mentioned above.
  2. Input your alternate number [land line, kitchen phone or another mobile] in the parent field
  3. Set the decibel level to monitor. [Ears in the case of Psiloc baby Monitor]
  4. Leave the monitoring phone near your baby and take a nap.
  5. Once the baby makes the least of noises, your phone will ring. [tip: answer the call to pacify your baby remotely]

Digia Sound Monitor can be intelligently used as a baby monitor, but it has much more to it. So if you think you just need the baby monitor I suggest you better pick up the Psiloc baby monitor software for your compatible device[check the compatibility in the above chart].

Eves Dropping With Nokia N73: Else if you wanna play around with Sound Monitor, Digia is your pick. With this, you can eves drop [do not hold me responsible for the consequences huh] on your girl friend, your spouse, your husband or your chauffeur. How? the idea is to leave your smartphone in a place where you think the conversation would happen[if u loose the phone, you are responsible], and wait near your other phone till the event happens! - Once the sprites start to talk, the decibel level hits a certain mark[above the "Set Threshold"] , you receive a call.

Burglar Alarm with Nokia Smartphones[N70, N73, N6600, E50, E61 etc]: You can set a threshold for your Digia sound Monitor and set a certain alarm sound. Place the phone in the place where you think "No Noise" should come from. If a sound is heard, the phone starts to squeal.

Manage your Restaurant with Nokia Smartphones Like N70/N73/N71: Asking guests to keep quiet can be very impolite inside the dining hall. So keep a pre-recorded message to address your guests, and mention that there is a decibel meter in the room by a poster! This would work like an angel and you can keep your Restaurant quite and cozy!!

Key features:
  • Audio scan with the device microphone
  • Audio detection algorithm with noise level and adjustment
  • Activation timing setting
  • Alarm types: sound clip, SMS, MMS, phone call (phone line kept open)
  • Alarm time delay adjustment and deactivation code
  • Remote activation with SMS.
