SU-8W nokia Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard

Wireless Keyboard - This is exactly what a Travel Blogger would need, a gadget that he cannot let go. If you are using a device such as the HP iPAQ Pocket PC, Dell Axim PPC or any Pocket PC for that matter, you would want to blog straight from your PPC or your Smart Phone. But this gets tedious with the default keypad of the device you carry. These keypads are made to fit the palm, and hence it is highly not advisable to use it for prolonged finger typing. There were hot-shoe based keyboard in the market before the advent of Bluetooth Wireless technology, but now a days all Keyboards are made with Bluetooth technology.

One such Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for the Nokia Range of Smart Phones is the SU-8W. This thing of beauty works seamlessly with any Symbian Device, it is a standard "QWERTY" keyboard. SU-8W is easily foldable, light weight(200 grams) and comes with a nifty carry case. SU-8W runs on AAA batteries and that is a welcome feature, while you don't have to run around finding a AC socket to recharge your keyboard. It has a MMC slot, and lodges a 32MB MMC Card with the software necessary to connect/pair with the Nokia Smart Phones. At the end of the article, I have included a list of Phones that support the SU-8W Wireless Keyboard.

With a Bluetooth Keyboard, you can use your SmartPhone or PPC to a maximum level. You can use it while you are sitting on the summit of your trek hill, or on the lake side with a beautiful view of the valley around. Places to sit and work will change dramatically if you put the right gadgets in use.

These keyboards have become cheaper from the days they were introduced. You can get a good foldable keyboard with waterproof material and Bluetooth connectivity under $100.

You have to exploit the use of these gadgets to the fullest possible extent, else you loose the charm and meaning these beauties were developed for!

I would always carry a A/V adapter for my Digital Camera and my PPC, to connect to any available Video Source. This makes it possible for me to connect my PPC to a hotel's TV set, and use my Wireless keyboard to finger the blog fast and easy. Imagine you can type while traveling on a monotonous bus that takes 3 hours to climb a hill?

Go ahead, unwind yourself, and still be able to work from the laps of mother nature!
