Windows Live Writer Beta 2 Now Available

Live Writer is a PC(only) [ sorry MAC users] Software that allows the voracious blogger to WYSWIG edit his blog with all the power of desktop computing. Unlike blogging from the online so called WYSWIG editor, the Live Writer would allow the user to edit his blog the traditional and powerful desktop way. For decades now we have all been using the Wordpad, Wordstar and MS Word for all our documenting needs, and here comes the Beta2 of Windows Live Writer to overtake all the online blog editors.

Windows Live Writer supports most of the popular blog platforms[including Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Typepad.com] and so you can stay assured the maximum coverage has been done. Blogger API sucks, with the no support for Image uploading, and hence Live Writer is not to be blamed for the poor support on Bloggers part[Google has always been treating Blogger with a Step Motherly attitude, hope to see this change soon].

There have been other companies that have come up with such an application in the past like w.Bloggar, the much ranted perfomancing for Firefox extension[i have used it and it's good by means of usability and ease] and the likes of RocketPost etc. But when BigBoy Microsoft steps in, it is a different ball game. They have been pioneers in this arena, and they know pretty much what they are doing. So lets welcome this new Beta with open arms, and look forward to have more plugins and support for this piece of software, and integration with Picassa, Flickr, Photobucket will all come one by one!!
