I have been receiving some questions about Nokia and Most Symbian phones for a while now, and the one of the most asked question is "How Do I switch between the Phone Memory and Memory Card" or "I send songs to my Nokia 6630 but it runs out of memory to receive my bluetooth transfers, how to send files to the Memory Card?"
Well both these problems can be addressed with one single solution. Here are the steps to follow to change your "Message Memory" to your Memory Card, instead of the Internal Phone Memory.
- Open Main Menu
- Go To Messaging (you can go form your shortcut too)
- Press the left Soft Key (unless you have changed it)
- In the menu that opens select Settings > Other
- Now your menu should look like this in the image here. Choose "Memory In use"
- Here change the memory from Phone Memory to Memory Card!!

From now on, all the files you send to your mobile via bluetooth would be stored in your Memory Card, and your SMS messages too would be stored in your Card. Though this is a very common settings, many do not know how to go about it, and hence I decided to elaborate it and post it here, hope you liked it. If you have any questions or any doubt with your Symbian or Nokia Mobile phones, please send me a mail [swordmouth at gmail dot com]
PS: [Note to fellow bloggers] - Friends I have taken painstaking long hours to take SnapShots and edit them all in Photoshop, and post it for my dear readers here. Please do not use any Images or Screen Captures form my blog without my consent. If you like to write about the same topic, and wish to use my images, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to share, but please ask. Thank you all for understanding and being patient with me.
Cheers,
