iPhone surely has turned heads, and rave reviews from Amateurs to Experts, it was selling like hot cake in the Limited Apple Stores. But some online sellers found it just Opposite, on eBay.
People who bought the iPhone on the first two or three hours of the sale, had tried their hands on ebay to make a couple of fast bucks but in vain. Not a single bid was seen to have been made on eBay of the 400+ listings, and the sellers are wondering why?
Craiglist listed 404+ listings and had only a couple of bids with a maximum of $10,000 for a collector's only posting. There were a few $800 to $1000 asking but the turn around is pretty much poor compared to the Nokia N95.
Could it be bloggers that have contributed to the failure of the iPhone? Could it be the reviews from the new iPhone users and the power of Web2.0 making a difference? We have to wait and see, but for sure the buying norms have changed drastically after the Internet was introduced the power of Web2.0. People lean to user reviews than Expert reviews these days and are very much convinced with it - the power of a democratic Internet population. It will be hard to fool this with spam or sorts of marketing gimmicks. This will be the next generation power of the Internet it has come to stay. Be it buying a House, a Jewellery , An Electronic Gadget, or deciding a Holiday package - people resort to these Social Networking Review sites to have a Honest Thought!
