N95 - Nokia Announces the release of A-GPS

Nokia users who use certain GPS enabled handsets will no longer be lost in this vast wide world. They have a very fast service that can tell where they are and show route to where they need to go.

Assisted GPS(A-GPS) service is the feature that helps Nokia Maps user find his current position, Nokia intends to equip all of the future devices with this service. Nokia 6110 navigator has begun shipping in select regions and N95 users can cheer too. With the most recent release of the upgrading software for the N95 multimedia computer, one can reap the benefits of A-GPS.

Owners of the Nokia N95 can now get this free service by downloading the Nokia Software Updater from - http://www.nokia.com/softwareupdate This will update the firmware on the device to the latest version - claims Nokia.

TTFF (time ti first fix) has been dramatically reduced, and so the time taken to know a certain position of the Mobile is faster.
